Installing PGP and PGPClick

Installing PGP:

Install PGP according to the instructions included with your PGP files.

Installing the Visual Basic 4.0 runtime:

If you have not already done so, install the Visual Basic 4.0 runtime files.  Follow the instructions with the runtime files you have.  If you downloaded the runtime from the links on this site, simply run the downloaded program.  If the runtime files you obtained did not include the file MFC40.DLL, then download this file and copy to to your Windows\System directory.

Installing PGPClick:

Expand the PGPClick archive into an empty directory.  If you are using the 32-bit version of PGPClick, check that there is a file called "PGPClick32.ex_".  If not, you expanded the archive using a program that does not support long filenames.  Simply rename the file "PGPClick.ex_" to "PGPClick32.ex_" before proceeding.

Now, run the setup program, SETUP.EXE.  Follow the on screen prompts.  You can install PGPClick into its own directory, into your PGP directory, or anywhere else you choose.

If you are installing the 32-bit version of PGPClick,  you have the option of adding context menu options to Windows Explorer.  These are contained in the file PGPClick.reg.  It is important to read the comments in this file before adding the entries to your registry.

If you have downloaded the upgrade archive, expand it and follow the directions included in UPGRADE.TXT.
